For deployment of sound sources and hydrophones, the vessel has two in-hull acoustic "viewports", one fixed and one that allows "on-the-fly" mounting of sound source or transducer.
R/V Meridata is equipped with Meridata sonar systems for demonstration and training sessions in bathymetry and sub-bottom profiling. Vessel positioning and attitude sensors are integrated to the survey systems to allow in-depth analysis of survey techniques and navigational aspects as well as sonar system operation.
